The practice manager is involved in

  • Ensuring the effective and efficient management of the practice.
  • Providing day to day management of all staff within the Practice.
  • Developing and maintaining individual and team performance.
  • Ensuring the profitability and efficiency of the practice, in line with the NHS, the partners and legislative guidance.
  • Providing general guidance to the partners on any NHS developments and legislative changes, which may affect the general management of the practice.

Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Our new Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP) Layla joined our practice in April 2018 and her role is to help people to develop healthier behaviour and lifestyles in their own local communities. They offer practical support to change their behaviour to achieve their own choices and goals.

Layla can work with patients with:-

  • High risk of CVD >20%
  • Risk of diabetes
  • At risk of alcohol harm
  • Smokers on Chronic Disease registers
  • Annual Reviews for high risk CVD patients
  • NHS Health Checks
  • Smokers
  • Weight Management
  • Cholesterol Management
